The weekend is here, and it’s time for some frugal family fun! Here are some ideas on how to spend your holiday weekend.
- $5 Fridays (and now Saturdays and Sundays!!) at the MOSH – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm – $5 per person – MOSH has extended their $5 Fridays promotion until December 31st. They are also offering $5 on Saturdays and Sundays until October 17th.
- Beach Days at the Landing – Friday – Monday – FREE! – 100 tons of sand have been dumped in the Courtyard at the Jacksonville Landing. There are plenty of events throughout the weekend, including digging for Jaguars tickets, and kids Hula Hoop competition, live music and food.
- Jacksonville Suns – Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday – Ticket prices vary, but we love the $6.50 General Admission tickets. Bring your lawn chairs and settle in right next to the Suns Playground – the adults can watch the game and the kids can play! Stay for fireworks after the game on Friday and Sunday.
- Family Free Days at MOCA – Sunday from 12 – 4 pm – FREE! – Admission to the Museum of Contemporary Art is free to children and accompanying adults on Sundays.
