The Snack Trap has been a staple in our house for a long time, so I’ve got some first-hand knowledge on these. Little ones are notoriously messy – sometimes just because they are developing their fine motor skills, and sometimes just to be ornery!

The Snack Trap helps minimize the amount of little finger foods that you will have to clean up off your floor and in your car. The slitted lid lets the child retrieve a couple of pieces of food at a time, and closes automatically when they pull their hand out. When the cup gets dropped or turned over (which is a guarantee with a baby!), the food stays in the cup!
It also makes it harder for the kiddos to grab handfuls of food, reducing the number of purposeful spills (maybe it’s just me, but my little ones took great joy in watching their food drop to the floor!) and the amount of food they can shove into their mouth at one time.

Snack Trap also has a new product called the Baby Snack Trap. This is great for the little ones who are just starting on finger foods. The Baby Snack Trap has a suction cup on the bottom, so it can stay still on a high chair or table, making it easier on a baby to grab those new foods.
You can get some additional accessories for your Snack Trap that are a great help. They have a snap-on lid for packing snacks in your diaper bag, and a tether that allows you to secure the Snack Trap to a high chair, car seat, or stroller – again preventing those accidental and purposeful drops!
You can buy Snack Traps ($4.99), Baby Snack Traps ($5.99), accessories, and some other great parenting products here. Plus, they’ve offered a 20% discount to Frugal Jacksonville Mom readers through the end of July! This applies to all merchandise on the website, so take some time to look through all the neat products. When your ready to check out, just enter promo code thanks2011 to get that 20% discount!

Mine would have to be a toss-up between the first time my youngest got to try blueberries (she was stained purple for at least a day or two!) and when my middle child was potty-training and unrolled 3 rolls of toilet paper all over the bathroom trying to “find some she liked”.

I remember when my sisters and I decided to make cookies (we were in elementary school). We had the flour in the mixing bowl, got out the hand mixer, and put it in the flour and POOF! We were lost in a cloud of flour mess! After cleaning it all up, I think we all never forgot to be careful with beaters and flour!

My daughter has a messy moment every day… she is 19 months old and loves to sit in and dig the dirt. And dump it all over her. She is so happy and content doing it that I often let her but she always needs a bath when we come inside!
I remember the first time I gave my son spaghetti. He was orange for days. Spaghetti was everywhere…all over him, in his hair, on the walls, everywhere. It was a mess!
Us giving my son ice cream… and some fell on the floor and he got down on his hands and knees to lick it off the floor. we let him.
