my hurricane with the "stick balls"
Kerry helped my pick out a beautiful piece from Willow House recently. I love to find multi-purpose decor to help save money. Instead of purchasing multiple items to serve different functions, I love things that can be used in many different ways. Kerry helped me find the beautiful Hemingway Hurricane. Right now, I’ve got it filled with “stick balls” (something about that sounds wrong, but I don’t have a better name for them 
) and serving as a dining room table centerpiece. However, I have lots of plans for my hurricane….
- seasonal decor: filled with cinnamon sticks, mini pumpkins, and fall leaves for the next couple months, round glass Christmas ornaments for the holidays, lemons and limes in the spring for a bright, fun centerpiece (plus storage for all my citrus!), and maybe some sand and shells with a big candle in the summer,
- to hold the flowers that I know my husband will bring me for my birthday (right, dear?) ,
- to hold and show off my yummy strawberry trifle at our next party,
- and I also want to try filling it with water and some pretty stones at the bottom, and adding a floating candle.
