Every year when Ringling Bros. comes to town, my kids start clamoring to go. It’s a big hit with my family, and probably for a lot of your families too. This year’s show is called DRAGONS, and it is themed around the fact that this is The Year of the Dragon. It sounds like it will be an amazing show. You can see a cute behind-the-scenes video with the Ringling Bros. elephants here! I love the FREE pre-show event too! A couple years ago my step-daughter got to “help” some of the acrobats, and she loved it! The show runs Thursday (1/19) through Sunday (1/22), and there are multiple shows on Saturday and Sunday. If you want to take a frugal trip to the circus 
, it’s absolutely do-able!! Tickets start as low as $15. On opening night (Thursday), all of the $25 seats are only $15 too. There is also a coupon code in this month’s Mint Magazine for $5 off up to 6 tickets (MINT12) that you can use at the box office or at Ticketmaster, and you can sign up on Ringling Bros. website to receive additional offers. If you want even more frugal circus fun, you can head to the Jacksonville Landing on Wednesday (1/18) from 5:00 to 7:00 pm for an Elephant Birthday Party – this is a FREE event!! You’ll get to interact with elephants and clowns, and get a coupon for $5 off your circus tickets.

Now, I’ve been trying to decide the best way to giveaway these ten tickets. I could split them up 5-5, or 6-4, and giveaway to two families, but not every family consists of 4, 5, or 6 people, and I want everyone to have a chance at these! So here’s the deal. To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment below stating how many tickets you’d like to win, and who you will take with you. (For example: “I’d like 5 tickets for myself, my husband, and my 3 children.” OR “I’d like 3 tickets for myself and my 2 grandchildren.”) My only request is that you don’t request tickets for your extended family and all your neighbors, so that we can have more than one winner.
The giveaway will close on Monday (1/16) at 7:00 pm. The first winner will be selected randomly. Any additional winners will be chosen randomly based on the number of tickets requested and the number of tickets still available to give away. Winners will be contacted by e-mail. 9. Do I need to purchase a ticket for my infant child who will sit on my lap for the entire show?
Children under 2 are admitted free provided they sit on a parent or guardian’s lap. All children 24 months old and older must have a ticket. For children two and older, ticket prices are the same for children and adults alike.
