Kids Play Days at Adventure Landing Waterpark

Yikes!  It is three days into one of my favorite summer deals, and I’m just now realizing it!  Time to pull out the calendar and plan a fun day with the kiddos!

At the beginning and the end of summer, while school is still in session but the weather is warm enough for swimming, Adventure Landing Waterpark offers Kids Play Days.  For $10.99 per person (ages 3 and under are free), you can get into the waterpark from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm tomorrow and Friday, and Monday through Thursday of next week.  Only the Pirate’s Play Village and the lazy river are open, but this is a great, low-cost outing for the pre-school age group.

I took my little ones twice at the end of last summer, and it was a big hit!

Free and Cheap Summer Activities

According to the temperature outside, I’m pretty sure it’s been summer for at least a few weeks!  Technically, however, we have a few more weeks before it begins.  I’ve got a head start for you on some great frugal activities to help keep your kids entertained while they are out of school…..

  • Regal Cinemas Summer Movie Express – Starting in June, Regal will show $1 movies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:00 am (all movies are G or PG).
  • Kids Bowl Free – Children can play up to 2 free games of bowling per day at participating locations.  Registration is required.  A family pass is also available (for a fee) that allows adults to play as well.
  • Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program – Kids can read 8 books and record them in the downloadable Reading Journal.  Turn in the journal at a local Barnes & Noble to receive a FREE book.
