Whew! I’m wiped out! I hit two Targets this morning, and got some major shopping done. If you haven’t made it to your Target yet, try to get there soon, as things were going fast. Here are some of the items that I found at 70% off (sorry for the horrible pictures, we are getting a new camera this week – yeah!!):
Lots of big items this year!!!
   Plenty of Cars 2 items to make all my nephews happy!!
 And all kinds of Hello Kitty, My Little Pony, Littlest Pet Shop, Disney Princess, and Barbie stuff to stock me up for birthday party invites!

It’s that time of year again, and I know based on all the e-mails I’ve been getting that everyone is ready for the Target toy clearance to begin!! If you’re not familiar with the wonders of the Target toy clearance, go check out my run-down of what it’s all about and well as some of the items we found last year. If you manage not to spend all of your gift-giving budget at Christmas-time, then this is a great way to stock up on frugal gift items for the rest of the year!
I expect that we will see the in-store clearance items start to hit 70%-75% on this Thursday, based on last year’s timing. (There are rumors that Target is no longer doing 75% – 70% may be the new lowest price  ) I’ll be in Target Thursday morning after pre-school drop-off, so I’ll make sure to post an update with what I find.
Meanwhile, if you won’t be able to make it to Target on Thursday, or you just can’t wait to start working on your gift stockpile, it may be worth your while to check out some of Target’s online toy clearance items. There are items as much as 65% off, but a lot of items are starting to show up as out of stock, so you may want to head over soon! Here are some of the items I saw….

 I had to make a quick run to Target last night, and as I was heading in to make my purchase, I glimpsed some of my favorite red clearance tags out the corner of my eye, so I stopped to take a closer look! There were a lot of Crayola items and quite a few craft projects, like jewelry making, painting projects, mosaics, etc. on clearance – a couple items at 30% off, and a lot of 50% off. Clearance varies widely from store to store, but you may want to check your Target’s kids’ craft selection the next time you are there.

So…I hit four different Target stores today to take advantage of the July toy clearance. One of them did not have anything marked down to 75% yet, but I got quite a good haul from the other 3 stores. Here’s a small sample of what I got…..
One of my favorite buys was the Rumblin’ Chuck Truck – regularly $42.49, marked down to $10.68, plus a $5 off peelie for a cost of $5.68!! I also got a bunch of little buckets of sidewalk chalk (25¢ each) and bubble wands (48¢ each) that will be the party favors when my daughter turns 5 in September!
